Dear blog readers, I apologize for being so lax on my posts. Now that Livie is mobile, there is precious little time for such frivolities as blogging, though I shall try and do better! Right now I am procrastinating...as usual. I'm supposed to be packing for a weekend at the lake, but instead I am here, thinking about all the stuff I have to pack for the lake. sigh...
Well, Jack is doing well at the potty thing. He's been mostly in big boy underwear for 2 weeks, and has only had a few small accidents, so not too bad! He's very proud of himself :)
Livie is getting bigger by the second and is eating more "real" food. Today for lunch she had some mixed veggies-that I didn't even have to squish up! Such a big girl. I'm starting to dabble in the world of cloth diapering, and yes I am insane. Though yesterday she had such foul poo that it seriously made me rethink that whole idea. I got a Fuzzi Bunz off of ebay this week and my friend Stacy let me borrow a few of hers to see how we like it. Livie is having a lot of rashes from cheapo diapers so I'm hoping that this will help, and be cheaper. We'll pick up again next week and see what happens.
Scott is back to work...boo...but hey, somebody has to get paid! Livie says "da-da" ALL THE TIME and Jack answers "it's ok Livie, Daddy is at work and we'll see him tonight. Say Jack-ers!" (He is bound and determined to get her to day Jackers). We went to Gene's a few nights ago as a final bye bye summer celebration. Jack got an ice cream cone that he shared with his shirt -he's so giving. Anyway, Livie was not thrilled and wanted to get out of her seat. Jack said "it's ok Livie, you don't have to be sad. We'll be home soon" and wouldn't you know she stopped crying immediately and started laughing. He's the baby whisperer. I'll hire him out for $20 an hour.
Guess I actually have to pack now...Scott will be home in a hour and expects all this stuff to be done :)

jack is so sweet to his little sister! treasure it now because you know it will change when they are teenagers! my parents said that my brother used to "translate" for me when i was a baby. he would tell them that i wanted a cookie or that i was thirsty. now, the truth may have been that he was really the one that wanted the cookie, but it is nice to think that he was sweet to me at one point.
