Pics of our fun rooms. We had a kitchenette, living room with fold out couch, bedroom, and 2 door access to the bathroom which had a whirlpool tub and shower with 6 shower heads. I miss this bathroom...
Anyway, we did some sight seeing, lots of eating and a very small amount of very chilly hiking. Hiking + 2 little ones + unstable stairs down a mountain + rocks + dirt = 1 freaked out mommy. Liv wanted to walk, which was SOOO out of the question, down about 100 stone and wood steps to see one of the falls. Scott held her while I held on to Jack, who is not known for his grace people! But thankfully we all made it alive and uninjured!
Please disregard the fabulous outfits! I was trying to make sure that everyone was wearing things that could get stained without me freaking out :)
Anyway, another BIG activity was swimming. The lodge had a huge pool and whirlpool and the kids LOVE TO SWIM! Both of them are fearless, which I actually love. Jack would jump in, go under, figure out how to get himself back up, and smile. Liv would look at me, grin, and walk off the edge. She'd go under and I'd grab her and get her back up and she would laugh like it was the best game ever. We had several moments where they went under and we weren't right there, and both were totally fine with it all. I think it freaked Daddy out though...but everyone is okay, and we worked on our skills from swim class (which starts again very soon).
After we left the Inn, we went for a quick visit to Louisville to see Aunt Jess, Uncle Mark and baby Ella. We were going to go to the zoo, but the weather didn't cooperate :( Maybe another time. The kids had a great time playing with each other and they all even went to sleep without a peep! What are the odds?
So that catches you up on Spring break...now on to other adventures...
