Not much today

Not much to report today folks. Had a friend over for a play date today, which went pretty well considering Jack doesn't generally like to share toys, especially with other boys :) With his little girlfriend, sharing is not a problem, but he is at an age right now where if some other kid has something, he wants it too! Very annoying, but understandable.

Livie is still sleeping great and is even going down for naps like a champ. She's developed this death grip on my arm when I hold her that is actually super cute, even though it's difficult to lay her down at times. She's a much more cuddly baby than Jack ever was so I'm enjoying the baby cuddles before they do away ;)

Today is Scott's last day with kiddos! He has to go tomorrow and do some end of year stuff, but he should be home early to celebrate. I like having him home in the summer, with the exception of the testing behavior that Jack feels he needs to do when this transition happens (you know, "Mommy doesn't let me do this, maybe Daddy will..."). So we'll spend a week or two deprogramming him and all will be well!

Both children are asleep now so it's my "lunch break" as my MIL calls it. Off to do laundry and start the sauce for dinner. Calzones! Yum...

Oh, and Kari-thanks for the positive vote, and Alley-no it's not helpful to know that Katelynn pooped in the potty!! (j/k-good for her! and Erin)!! ;) Everyone says that girls are easier so I look forward to that with Livie because Jack is kicking my butt! He completely knows what to do, just doesn't want to. He hasn't peed in his diaper for days (even wakes up dry at night some days), but poops in it every time :( I've tried pull-ups, training pants, and real underwear, but that just leads to more frustration and clean up for me. Suggestions anyone?

I guess you could start feeding him nothing but cheese! Or give him a lot of applesauce and then rig a seatbelt to the potty and don't let him get up until he goes...We've actually had to start buckling Connor into chairs just to make sure he doesn't run around the living room smearing bananas as he goes; maybe the same idea could work with the "throne." If not, bribery interspersed with begging and pleading...
