Bye-bye bottle

Well folks, she's done with the bottle. I gave her one this morning and she practically threw it at me :) I've been weaning her down from 4 bottles a day to 3, then 2 and the last hold out was the morning bottle. She seems more keen on a sippy cup (albeit a very soft top one)! I've tried the cups with valves but she can't figure out how to work those yet. No bother. We have 4,000 sippy cups thanks to Jack so I'm sure we can manage! Next stop...whole milk. Lord help me that transition makes me nervous. There is something about it that freaks me out. To go from being SOOO careful not to give her ANYTHING with milk in it to giving her a cup of milk is just so strange to me. She seems to be doing fine with the things that we have given her that have milk in them (so far she's had pizza/calzones, bread with milk in it, cheese, mac n'cheese), but it's a big step to the real thing. We have about a days worth of formula left (due to not being able to find it at 2 stores! grrr...). When she gets up from nap I'm going to give her a small cup of whole milk. I figure that by the time Scott gets home if she has a reaction he'll be here to weather the storm with me!

We went to Wally World today to look for some costumes for Scott's play at school (no luck hun, we'll have to try some place else), and pick up a few things, as it's a law that you can't leave Wal-Mart without buying something. We looked for bday gifts for Livie as we have yet to get anything for her, and Jack had a most awesome time roaming the toy aisles. I hate that at certain stores there is no cart that accommodates a 1 year old and a 3 year old. There are times that I don't want him roaming around and it would be so much nicer if he could be more contained, but alas, it appears that his wrangled days are over. Except at Meijer! They have a cart that is welded to a thing that looks like a park bench. Sure it feels like you're driving a semi down the aisle, but at least I don't have to keep saying "Jack, put that back", "Jack, come here...NOW!", or my favorite "Jack, that is not for putting on your head". Sigh...kiddos.

Ok, I got the laundry done yesterday, but the house looks like a guy named Ike ran through. Must. Clean. House.
Must. Get. A. Maid...crap, guess that's me.
Here are some random kid shots. Jack found the 80's night headband and HAD to try it on. Ahhh, Daniel-san. If only I could convince him to be a karate kid for Halloween instead of Batman/Spiderman (it depends on the day as to which one he wants to be...strange since he's never been exposed to either...Diego would have made sense to me but Batman? Where did he get that? Crazy kid. Off to, gulp, pick up the house...
