updates

Again, sorry it's been so long. It seems I do really well for a week and then slack off for a few...

So Livie is a walking girl. She's been toddling for over a month and is really getting the hang of it. Come to think of it, maybe that's why I've been slacking on my posts...huh...never made the connection. She is currently obsessed with colored pencils and will play with them for HOURS. No joke. HOURS. She even tries to walk around with them. That can't be a good idea, especially if she inherits her brothers "grace", ahem. Seems like she wants to be artistic like her daddy.

Livie is also having a language explosion! Here are the words (that I can remember) that she says at 14 months:
mamma and mommee, da da, bubby, Jack-Jack (dak-dak), dog-dog, Chloe (comes out kowee), up, more, milk (mak), that (dat), no (comes out clear as day), duck, Jesus (je-je, found this one out when she was messing with the nativity scene!), apple, out, book, ball, blanket (comes out BA!), boo, pa paw (much to my dad's delight last night!), love you (much to my mom's delight!) and other assorted words that I know what she means, but no one else would :)

Jack is anxiously awaiting Christmas. Scott told him that Santa fills your stocking for Jesus' birthday so he's been checking it every morning since, the little goober. If you ask him what Santa will bring him he says emphatically "Legos and Berenstain Bear books". Nothing more, nothing less for him. Needless to say, we have discussed his list with Santa and we will have a happy boy on Christmas morning :) He's also taken a shine to the Scotch Brand Gift Wrap Cutter. LOVES the thing and has designated himself as mommy's Christmas present wrapping apprentice. If only he was actually helpful...someday. In the meantime, at least he's cute!

2 quick Jack stories:
Jack and Liv were taking a bath and Jack was pouring water from a little cup onto Liv saying, "Water on Livie's head, water on Livie's shoulder, water on Livie's toes..." and then "water on Livie's pee pee...". Then he stopped, looked rather puzzled, shrugged and went to "water on Livie's hands...". Whew. That talk has been diverted for at least another few days :)

Scott was walking with Jack down the hall and noticed that Jack had his hand over his nose. Jack looked up and said " don't worry daddy, I put the booger back in" and walked to his room.

I live in a world with boys. At least I get to trip over baby dolls now too.
