Day 1 at Disney

We started our morning off early (as usual), ate a quick breakfast and went to the park early during "Magic Hours", a time that the park opens early for those staying at Disney resorts. The Magic Kingdom was all decked out for Halloween and it was so pretty! The kids were VERY excited to see everything and get our day started.Entering the Magic Kingdom
The first glimpse of the castle
We even managed to get a halfway decent shot of ourselves :)
Notice that the boys are in Phineas and Ferb shirts, while the ladies are rocking the Tinkerbell look. Yes, we are nuts ;P
Scott and Jack went off in search of some fast passes while Liv and I went to look at "girly stuff" in the castle. While she was looking a very nice man asked her if she wanted pixie dust. Of course the answer was "YES!". He told her to close her eyes and make a wish, all while covering her head in glitter. She was beside herself with glee. We found glitter everywhere for the next 4 days...no joke. That stuff has some staying power!
The first thing the kids wanted to do was the carousel.

Then we went on the Dumbo ride. Jack was my "coaster buddy" throughout this whole vacation. Even if he was unsure and nervous about whatever ride we were about to go on, he would look at me and say "I'm going to do it, 'cause you love roller coasters and I'm your 'coaster buddy".
I love that boy.
I think Scott secretly is looking forward to Jack getting even taller so that he can go with me on all roller coasters (because I love them) and Scott can be off the hook (because he HATES them)!
Of course no trip to the Magic Kingdom is complete without visiting some princesses! They met Aurora...

Cinderella...

AND Belle. Liv was in heaven and Jack hung in there like a trooper!
We rode pretty much every ride at the park, some several times! We were blessed that there were very few lines and we never waited more than 15 minutes for anything. In fact, there were several times we walked on the ride, rode it, and went back for more! Our favorites were the Buzz lightyear ride, the Monsters Inc interactive show, driving cars in Tommorrowland, Thunder Mountain, Space Mountain, and the boys loved Splash mountain (we girls declined to walk around wet all day...more on that later!).
After being at the park all day, we called it a night and headed back to the hotel.
Someone was a bit tired.
This will be a theme!
